FOUNDATION
The library was established thank to the books and magazines donated by Prof. Dr. Ljupcho Ajdinski, within the Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation in 1993. The first four years of its activities started at the Institute of Pedagogy . In the academic year 1997/98 the Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation became independent as wells the Library.
COLLECTION
The Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation possesses relatively rich collection of professional and scientific literature in different languages.
The Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation has 1314 references of domestic and foreign authors.
The library collection is enriched with new books and magazines both by purchase and donors. The Faculty of Philosophy allocates funds annually to the book acquisitions for both domestic and foreign literature according to the needs of curricula and students.
It is also worth mentioning that the library collection is enriched by funds allocated to literature in the projects in which members from the Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation participate.
The library possesses computers for students' free of charge access to the Internet, e-mail, writing study papers (seminar works), diploma thesis and etc.
The library possesses 7 computers, 3 printers, 2 scanners and one video projector. The computers are linked with the local network Internet as well as the Internet.
GUIDE
The guide has to help to use the library and its resources.
Working hours:
Issuing and receiving books from 7:30 – 13:30
Use of the reading room from 7:30 – 14:30
Regulations:
Library users are expected to be silent all the time.
Food and drinks are not allowed at the public Ares of the library.
Smoking is not allowed.
Any one who misuses the library materials, the furniture or the equipment will be expelled and will pay for damage done.
Mobile telephones have to be turned off.
HOW TO USE THE LIBRARY
Borrowing Library material
For borrowing books from the Library you have to do the following:
Find the book in the alphabetic catalogue
Write down the reference number
Ask the librarian to find the book and deliver it.
In case you do not find the required book in the alphabetic catalogue ask the librarian for assistance.
When borrowing books students have to leave their student's booklets (index) with the librarian.
How long can books be kept?
Dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias can be used exclusively in the library;
Textbooks and books (as the only copy) can be used in the library or taken out for one day only;
Books can be kept maximum15 days;
Magazines can be used exclusively in the library ;
Use of computers
possibility to use the Internet;
possibility to use e-mail;
writing study papers (seminar works);
writing diploma theses.
To protect against viruses new (unused) disks have to be used for recording written materials with agreement of the librarian.
Ask the librarian before using CDs. Privet CDs are not allowed.
These regulations refer to all users.
Users must not damage the computers, the computer system programs or other date;
Users must not install computer games;
Users must not install any software;
Users have to keep date in their own folders, otherwise they will be deleted.
Through their work users must not access other computer systems or damage them.
The employees and the students of the Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation can use the computers for academic and administrative work, i.e. for unprofitable purposes.
Users ask the librarian before using the computers.
